Debut of 'Sunday Cabaret' features Gospel Groove Band

NIAGARA FALLS - The Gospel Groove Band of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Burt, a 10-piece band that includes student musicians and adults with professional experience, will perform the first in a series of free monthly public programs called "Sunday Cabaret at Community Missions" at 6 p.m. Sunday at Community Missions of the Niagara Frontier, 1570 Buffalo Ave.
Before the performance, members of First United Methodist Church of Niagara Falls will prepare a dinner for the individuals and families who use the Community Soup Kitchen and Food Pantry at Community Missions.
This will be the first of eight "Sunday Cabaret" programs that will be offered as part of a new partnership among Community Missions, the Episcopal Diocese of Western New York and churches in Niagara County.
On one Sunday of each month a local congregation will provide dinner in the Community Soup Kitchen and one of the eight Episcopal churches will present a program.
