Yankees-Jays post-mortems

TORONTO -- The Yankees were flat and the Blue Jays were pumped Thursday night in Rogers Centre in a 6-0 Toronto victory. So there's six games left in the season and the Yankees have a one-game lead over Baltimore.

Jays pitcher Brandon Morrow went seven shutout innings -- the seventh time this season he's gone at least six without giving up an earned run. Morrow has an 0.57 ERA in his nine wins and a 6.11 ERA in his other 11 starts.

NovaMeanwhile, Ivan Nova (right) didn't last five innings for the second straight start after going that far in all of his previous 26. See you in the postseason bullpen, if you make the roster at all.

The Jays are 4-2 at home against the Yankees this year and this was their 11th shutout of the season overall, 7th at home. It was the sixth time this year the Yankees were blanked. The Yankees have won just seven games this year (7-23) when they don't hit a home run. Yikes.
