CCB opens South Dayton branch

Cattaraugus County Bank has opened its newest location in South Dayton with all the standard features of a bank branch – plus a hitching post for those customers coming in by horse-drawn buggy.

The Southern Tier bank's new branch at 517 Pine St. serves a community that includes a large Amish population, so the hitching post, and nearby water for the horses, is intended to help the bank cater to those customers. The bank is giving away a Amish quilt in a raffle as part of its grand opening.

CCB also has a hitching post at its Randolph branch.

The new 2,300-square-foot branch also offers three teller stations, one service window that is compatible with the Americans with Disabilities Act, computer access for customers, a drive-thru lane and drive-up ATM, a night drop and regular parking. It will offer expanded hours, including 9 a.m. to noon Saturdays.

The branch consolidates and replaces two locations in Cherry Creek and South Dayton that the bank acquired from HSBC Bank USA in 2004.

"We are very pleased we could invest time, energy and money in the South Dayton/Cherry Creek area. Unifying our existing branches in Cherry Creek and South Dayton and building a state-of-the-art facility was an absolute necessity," CCB President and CEO Salvatore Marranca said.
