Angola's summer concert series, which begins today, will offer an 11-week lineup that will showcase a variety of music, from Caribbean to country, jazz to swing.
The Summer Lawn Chair Concert Series opens with Crash Cadillac, with vocals by Linda Giancarlo, at 7 p.m. today at the William G. Houston Gazebo in Angola's Centennial Park.
The concert series -- which marks its 30th year at the park bounded by High, Center and Park streets -- will begin at 7 p.m. each Wednesday through Aug. 29.
Bring a lawn chair or blanket. Girl Scouts from the Evans-Brant area will operate the concession stand.
The rain location for the entire summer will be the nearby New Angola Theater, 72 N. Main St.

June 27, the Formula Band, billed as "Buffalo's Best Italian Band."
July 4, the Rustic Ramblers, which will perform classic country music.
July 11, Caribbean Extravaganza, a calypso, reggae and island music group.
July 18, Buffalo Swing Big Band.
July 25, Mark Mazur's Little Big Band.
Aug. 1, Bar-Room Buzzards, a Dixieland-type group that plays a wide variety of music, including old favorites and music from New Orleans.
Aug. 8, Erie County Wind Ensemble.
Aug. 15, Razz and Friends, a Chautauqua County Jazz group.
Aug. 22, The Krew Band, performing a variety of music including dance and show tunes.
Aug. 29, Frankfurter's German Show Band.
