Boaters are invited to join a Floating Cocktail Party and Boat Parade this week as part of Buffalo's Citybration.
Interested skippers can ?sign up at citybration.com, ?and contend for the title of best-decorated boat.
The procession is planned to start at 6 p.m. Thursday, and end by 8 p.m. The parade route will take boats from the Erie Basin Marina to the Small Boat Harbor and back.
"Decorate your craft, ?wear costumes, or have music on board," suggested organizer Marti Gorman. "The more ?the merrier, and the noisier ?the better."
Participants will be checked to ensure they have enough lifejackets, and must sign a ?liability waiver.
People who want to ?participate, but don't have a boat or a sober skipper, can board the Miss Buffalo, which will be part of the flotilla. ?Tickets are $25.
