Diane M. Houlihan, a retired clinical nurse specialist, died Thursday in Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital, Amherst. She was 74.
The Buffalo native was a graduate of Holy Angels Academy and D'Youville College and earned a master's degree in nursing from the University at Buffalo.
Ms. Houlihan worked in nursing for many years at Millard Fillmore Hospital as a clinical nursing specialist, patient-care coordinator, nursing quality assurance coordinator and ambulatory care nurse. She also worked as a nurse in New York City.
Ms. Houlihan served on the board of directors of the Alumni Association of D'Youville College and was president of the Parish Council of St. Joseph University Catholic Church, where she also was a Eucharistic minister.
Survivors include a brother, Terrance M.; and a sister, Mary E. Bean.
Prayers will be said at 9:30 a.m. Monday in C. Mertz & Son Funeral Home, 911 Englewood Ave., Town of Tonawanda. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph University Church, 3269 Main St.
