Schiller Park Community Services and the Town of Cheektowaga Department of Youth and Recreation are accepting registration for Over the Edge, a free summer teen theater workshop for youth in Cheektowaga and East Buffalo. The program teaches acting, playwriting and production skills. Children ages 12 to 18 are encouraged to register. The workshop runs from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday from June 25 through Aug. 9 at Villa Maria College (240 Pine Ridge Road). *Theatre of Youth Company Inc. will hold auditions for "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever" at 6 p.m. June 25 in the Allendale Theatre (203 Allen St.). Boys and girls ages 9-13 are sought for various roles. Some acting experience is preferred. Audition appointments must be made by calling 884-4400, Ext. 301 from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday. Visit

*Western Door Playhouse will hold open auditions for its 2012-13 season, which includes performances of "Mousetrap," "Inspecting Carol," "Over the Tavern," "Serenata Celeste" and "Me II." Roles are available for adults and children. Auditions are from 7 to 9 p.m. next Friday and from 2 to 4 p.m. June 23 in the Woodbox Theatre, Niagara Arts and Cultural Center (1201 Pine Ave., Niagara Falls). A cold reading or prepared monologue are acceptable. Singing auditions will also be available. Call 297-5910.

*Aurora Players will hold auditions for the musical "The Pajama Game" at 7 p.m. June 25, 26 and 27 in the Roycroft Pavilion, corner of South Grove Street and Prospect Avenue in Hamlin Park, East Aurora. A cast of seven women and nine men of various ages plus additional dancers and chorus members are sought. Visit

*Towne Players will hold auditions for "A Streetcar Named Desire" from 7 to 9 p.m. June 26 and 27 in the Sheridan-Parkside Community Center (169 Sheridan Parkside, Town of Tonawanda). Auditions will consist of a cold reading from the script. For more information, call Glenn Jumper at 693-9641.
