Final voyage: A crane hoists the space shuttle Enterprise onto the flight deck of the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum in New York City on Wednesday. Unlike the other shuttles, the Enterprise never went on an actual space mission. Instead, it was a full-scale test vehicle used for flights in the atmosphere and experiments on the ground. The Enterprise was shipped to New York after NASA decided to end the shuttle program after 30 years. It is scheduled to open to the public in mid-July.
