Meditation maze

Unity of Buffalo Church will have a grand opening from 5 to 6:30 p.m. today for a recently installed outdoor labyrinth in its Unity Peace Park, 1243 Delaware Ave. The public is invited to walk the 42-foot labyrinth –a circular walking path than can be used for meditation and stress relief.

Sam Richardson, a labyrinth designer, will be the featured speaker.


Old Time's new home

Old Time Baptist Church in Hamburg has moved from its building on Gowanda State Road into a newly renovated space at the corner of Camp Road and Scranton Road.

The new church is in a former supermarket that has been vacant for nearly 20 years.


Honoring M.M. Noah

St. Paul's Episcopal Cathedral, 128 Pearl St., on Sunday will dedicate a historical marker for Mordecai M. Noah, the New York City man who sought to establish a refuge for Jews from around the world on Grand Island in the 1820s.

The dedication in Cathedral Park, near Church and Main streets, will follow the 11:15 a.m. service.


Feast day

St. Stanislaus parish and Corpus Christi parish will commemorate the feast of Corpus Christi together with a 3p.m. observance June 10.

An outdoor procession with the Blessed Sacrament will begin at St. Stanislaus Church, 123 Townsend St., moving on to devotions at four outdoor altars before concluding at Corpus Christi Church, 199 Clark St., where benediction and a Mass will be celebrated.

A reception will follow.
