OBRIEN, Paul E.

O'BRIEN - Paul E. May 25, 2012, beloved husband of Marie; loving father of Patricia (James) Vaughan, Mary (John) Piekart, Susan (Kenneth) Willett and his special caretaker, Denise; dear grandpa of Michael (Stacy), Jennifer (Fred), Jackson, Ryan and Adrienne (Richard); great-grandpa of Scott, Joseph and Anthony; brother of Marian, Jerome and the late Robert O'Brien. Friends received Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the NIGHTENGALE FUNERAL HOME, 1884 South Park Ave., (near Tifft) where services will be held Wednesday at 8:45 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial from Our Lady of Charity Parish (Holy Family Worship Site) at 9:30 AM. Friends invited. Entombment in Holy Cross Cemetery Mausolem with military honors. Flowers gratefully declined. A special thanks to Hospice Buffalo. Mr. O'Brien was a member of Msgr. Nash Council No. 3875, where he was the "Knight of the Year" in 1990, member and past commander of the Color Corps of Msgr. Toomey Assembly, D.A.V. Chapter No. 135, Matthew Glab American Legion Post No. 1477, Col. Weber VFW Post No. 898, Evergreens of Holy Family, St. Ambrose Senior Citizens, OLC Parish Holy Name Society and a retiree of Local 897 UAW. Mr. O'Brien served on the USS Virgo (AKA 120) during WW-II.
