Buffalo in Bloom will hold its 8th annual Spring Kickoff celebration from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday in the lobby of Buffalo City Hall, Niagara Square. The Niagara Frontier Botanical Society will hold a plant sale from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Harlem Road Community Center, 4255 Harlem Road, Amherst. Native woodland species, some of them rare, and garden plants from members' collections will be available.

Silver Creek Hanover Garden Club will present "Garden Faire" from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the gazebo and park area on Main Street and Central Avenue, Silver Creek. Educational speakers, soil testing, kids' face-painting and a sale of plants, books, birdhouses, feeders and garden decorations will be featured. For information, call 934-7608.

Lewiston Garden Club will hold its perennial sale from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday in the Red Brick Gym, North Fourth and Onondaga streets, Lewiston. Sun- and shade-loving plants, ground covers and yard sale items will be available.

The club also will meet at 9 a.m. Monday at Hennepin Park to plant annuals around the park and museum. A meeting will follow at the library. Anyone interested in being a vendor at the GardenFest June 23-24 should contact Sharon Low, 297-5925.

Smallwood Garden Club will hold its annual plant sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Evanstown Plaza, Evans Street near Sheridan Drive, Amherst. Included will be flats of annuals, geraniums and perennials

The club also will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at Forest Elementary School, 250 N. Forest Road, Amherst. Linda Blyth, of Song 'N Bird Gardens, will present "Planting for Season Long Interest." Guests welcome.

The Parkside Community Association will present the 14th annual Tour of Homes from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sunday. Ten houses will be featured. The tour begins at the corner of Jewett Parkway and Summit Avenue, outside the Darwin Martin House, where information, tickets and maps will be available. Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 tour day and $13 for PCA members. No children under 12. The PCA office, 2318 Main St., will be open for ticket sales from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday. Hamburg House and Garden Club will hold its annual spring cleanup and planting event in the Village of Hamburg beginning at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Memorial Park. Pizza and a business meeting will follow. Cleanup and planting will continue at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Centennial Gardens. For club information, call Maria Smith at 648-1782.

Federated Holland Garden Club will hold its installation luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Holland Willows, 177 Savage Road, Holland.

Alden Garden Club will host its annual plant auction at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Alden Community Center, 13116 Main St., with perennials, annuals, garden decorations and more. The public is invited; admission is free with a food donation for the Alden Marilla Food Pantry. For information, call 937-7055.

Amherst Garden Club will present a small standard flower show from 1 to 4 p.m. Wednesday at St. John Lutheran Church, 6540 Main St., Amherst, in the community room. The show is open and free to the public.

Judges Council of 8th District Federated Garden Clubs of New York State will meet at 10 a.m. Thursday in Brighton Community Church, 1225 Brighton Road, Town of Tonawanda. The horticulture project will be distributed. Members will bring in garden items and plants to be auctioned.
