The Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum, 180 Thompson St., North Tonawanda, is offering free admission from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday to celebrate New York Heritage Weekend.

The following students of Mary Handley of Amherst were awarded at the Stamford Kiwanis Music Festival in Niagara Falls:

Suzie Lee, 9, a student at Dodge Elementary School, received a $500 Rotary Club scholarship, piano.

Rohana Sinha, 16, a student at Williamsville East High School, received a $250 Tim Hortons scholarship, piano.

Also, Johanna Fritzinger, a student at Williamsville South High School, won three first place medals (Grade 10 etudes, Grade 10 20th century and Grade 10 baroque) at the St. Catharines Kiwanis Music Festival.
