Lois C. Scheeler of Orchard Park, a former registered nurse and retired real estate broker, died Sunday at home. She was 80.
Born Lois Schmidt in Dunkirk, she was a graduate of Dunkirk High School. She went on to earn her nursing degree in 1952 from Sisters Hospital, where she also worked as a nurse. She also was a nurse at Mercy Hospital.
Mrs. Scheeler became a licensed real estate broker and variously worked at Potter Realty, Metro Realty, Remax Elite and Coldwell Banker Chubb, spending more than 40 years as a real estate agent.
Over the years, Mrs. Scheeler had traveled to Europe, Egypt and the Caribbean.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Philip J.; two sons, Stephen P. and Paul A.; and a sister, Paula Burns.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 a.m. Saturday in Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church, 4414 S. Buffalo St., Orchard Park.
