Five Spot / Quick hitters on the light side

1. IT'S ALL ABOUT YOU

LeBron James told Sports Illustrated that he couldn't watch TV last spring after losing in the Finals because "every channel including the cartoon channel was talking about me and the Heat." And I thought Cartoon Network had already fired Stephen A. Smith.

2. ALOHA MEANS GOODBYE

"Selection Show."

3. BARKING UP WRONG TREE

Former Patriots player Willie

McGinest said the Pats' Wes Welker has "a diva attitude." Welker fired back that he would be sending his poodle to McGinest's house to teach him a lesson.

4. WHEN LESS IS MORE

LeBron James, Kobe Bryant and Carmelo Anthony were among the NBA stars who sat out Thursday night's games to rest for the playoffs. If only TNT had done the same with Charles Barkley on the postgame show.

5. THE ROAD NOT TAKEN

The Buffalo Bills neither traded up nor down in the draft on Thursday night, selecting cornerback Stephon Gilmore at 10th overall. Darcy Regier said he didn't know the player, but he gave them an "A" for not trading.
