So you think you don't like ballet? Complexions Contemporary Ballet, which bills itself as a "mash-up of classical technique with Alvin Ailey roots and 'So You Think You Can Dance' accessibility," is out to change your mind.
The New York City-based company, founded by former Alvin Ailey dancers Dwight Rhoden and Desmond Richardson, comes to the University at Buffalo's Center for the Arts at 7:30 p.m. Thursday. The company's co-founders, who see it as their mission to "remove the boundaries of dance, rather than reinforce them," have produced work seen on the popular ABC show "So You Think You Can Dance" as well as on PBS, VH1 and for Cirque du Soleil.
Tickets are $29.50 or $11.50 for students. More information is available at 645-2787 or www.ubcfa.org.
