ERROR-PRONE -- Things go from bad to worse in the one-act comedy "All I Really Need to Know I Learned by Being in a Bad Play," which will be staged this weekend by the Alden Christian Theatre Society's Rising Stars youth group in the ACTS Theatre, 1470 Church St., Alden. Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2:30 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $5. For reservations, call 937-7770.

BARGAIN HUNT -- The Women's Fellowship of Kenmore United Church of Christ will hold its spring rummage sale from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the church hall, 295 Delaware Road, Kenmore. Chairwoman Maureen Einhiple said a $1 bag sale will be from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Friday.

ART FEST -- Online voting is under way for local entries in the 2012 Congressional Art Competition. Now in its 30th year, the competition gathers original artworks from high school students in all of the nation's congressional districts; winning entries from each district will hang in the halls of the U.S. Capitol for the coming year.

Entries from Amherst Central High School, Batavia High School, Warsaw Central Schools, Perry High School, Livonia High School and Medina Senior High School can be seen on Rep. Kathleen C. Hochul's website at www.hochul.house.gov. Entries on Rep. Brian Higgins' site, www.higgins.house.gov, will be posted today.

MEMORY SERVED -- A benefit party in honor of Nathan P. Carducci will be held from 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday in Orchard Park Post, American Legion, 3740 N. Buffalo St. Donation is $25 and includes beer, wine, pop and food. There also will be raffles, auctions and live music by 404. For tickets, call Jamie Byrne at 609-4086 or Jim Byrne at 480-4604. Proceeds go to the Nathan P. Carducci Scholarship Fund at Canisius High School. Nathan, who lived in Lancaster, died unexpectedly last Nov. 20.

CAST A LINE -- Buffalo United Front, a coalition of anti-violence groups, is looking for donations of fishing rods, tackle and bait -- or cash -- as well as food, drinks, entertainment and prizes for its fourth annual Family Fishing Day in June in Broderick Park.

WORKING OVERTIME -- The Clothes Pantry at Grace Lutheran Church, 174 Cazenovia St., South Buffalo, will be open for additional hours from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday this week to offer free clothes to those in need who cannot come on weekdays. The Clothes Pantry normally is open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesdays and Fridays. Donations of clothing also will be accepted Saturday. Children's clothes are always needed.
