Gospel Fest, presented by Community Missions of Niagara Frontier, will be held at 7 p.m. Friday in the First Assembly of God Church, 9750 Niagara Falls Blvd., Niagara Falls. Doors open for seating at 6:30 p.m.
Admission is free, but attendees are asked to bring a nonperishable food item to donate to the missions' food pantry and a free-will offering will be collected.
The event, in its third year, features performances by church choirs, soloists and bands from around the Buffalo Niagara region.
A special Mass celebrating the feast of St. Adalbert will be held at 5:30 p.m. today in St. Adalbert Church, 212 Stanislaus St.
Soprano Brittany Mruczek will be guest soloist. A reception follows. Am-Pol Eagle Citizens of the Year recipients for 2012 also will be honored.
A German Mass featuring music by the Buffalo Schwaben Choir will be offered at 10 a.m. Sunday in St. Ann Church and Shrine, Broadway and Emslie Street.
The Mass will celebrate the church's German origins and heritage and the contributions of German Catholics to the Buffalo community.
A healing Mass in honor of St. Peregrine, patron saint of cancer sufferers, will be offered at 7 p.m. Monday in Blessed Mary Angela Parish at the St. Hyacinth Worship Site, 295 Lake Shore Drive East, Dunkirk.
