Joseph M. Floss, president of the Floss Agency, successfully completed the annual continuing education requirement of the Society of Certified Insurance Counselors. The National Alliance for Insurance Education & Research requires annual attendance in the program to maintain the designation.

Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, a wealth management firm, recently formed the Culov Group led by Emir and Amela Culov, both vice presidents and financial advisers. The other group members include: Rebecca Rex, vice president, financial adviser; Matthew Richards, financial adviser associate; Christine Grant, registered sales assistant; and Lindsay Zak, registered sales assistant. Emir and Amela Culov hold bachelor's degrees from Brockport State College and MBAs from Rochester Institute of Technology. Rex is a Houghton College graduate.

R.W. Miller Jr. and Associates HR consultant Andrea Griffa Harden successfully completed her Senior Professional in Human Resources recertification with the HR Certification Institute.

Watts Architecture & Engineering, an architecture and engineering firm in downtown Buffalo, received a Diamond Award for Engineering Excellence in recognition of its environmental work for the historic Richardson Olmsted Complex stabilization project on Forest Avenue from the American Council of Engineering Companies of New York at its statewide awards ceremony in New York City recently. In addition, the firm received a Platinum Award for engineering work at Buffalo State College's Academic Quad/Bulger Plaza Renovation project. Watts has won nine ACEC of New York Engineering Excellence awards in the past seven years.
