Peter E. Klaasesz of Lancaster, an attorney who specialized in real estate and elder law, died Monday in Erie County Medical Center. He was 74.
Born in Buffalo, he was raised in Lancaster. Mr. Klaasesz earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Buffalo and his law degree from the UB School of Law. He also served eight years in the National Guard.
Since 1988, Mr. Klaasesz had practiced law with Brown and Kelly legal services on Main Street in Buffalo. He was a member of the Lancaster Depew Rotary Club, Southtowns Woodcarvers and served as a church committee elder at Lancaster Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, the former Joyce Prawel; a daughter, Kara E.; a son, Kirk P.; a sister, Patricia Schocke; and a brother, Dirk P.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Lancaster Presbyterian Church, Broadway at Lake Avenue.
