Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver appointed Dennis Szefel, chief strategy officer for Delaware North Cos., to the board of directors at Roswell Park Cancer Institute for a three-year term.

Lumsden & McCormick, a locally owned certified public accounting firm, named Nicole Alexander and Brandon Seiferth staff accountants. Alexander graduated from Canisius College with both a bachelor's and master's degree. She most recently worked as an intern at Niagara Financial Group. Seiferth obtained his master's degree from Daemen College.
