ABC-Amega Inc., a global commercial receivable management firm, named Robert States chief financial officer. States, a certified public accountant who has served at the company in a consulting capacity since October 2011, is a former chief financial officer for Liazon Corp. and chief operating officer for COPC Inc. He holds an MBA from St. Bonaventure University.

The Bank of Akron named Nancy W. Stone compliance and bank secrecy act officer, with the title of vice president. Stone, a certified public accountant, has more than 18 years of banking experience. She is a graduate of the University at Buffalo and earned an MBA from Canisius College.

Damon Morey appointed John R. Weider special counsel in the firm's business litigation and insolvency department. Weider, former chairman of the financial reorganization and bankruptcy group at Harter Secrest and Emery, received his bachelor's degree from St. John Fisher College and his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center.

Five Star Bank has named Amy Barone, Jill Beck and Staci Casseri as vice presidents. Barone, who joined the bank in September 2004, is a graduate of the State University of New York at Oswego. Beck joined the bank in 2001 and is a Clarion University graduate. With the bank since 2000, Casseri has served as banking center manager since 2009.

Synacor Inc., a Buffalo-based Internet content provider, named Michael Bishara vice president and general manager of TV Everywhere. Bishara has worked at HBO, Time Inc. and AT&T. Most recently, Bishara was senior vice president, HBO Broadband/Digital Group.

KeyBank appointed Bonnie Kell vice president and manager at its newest branch located at 5207 Broadway in Lancaster, set to open April 16. Kell will lead a staff of nine: Susan Gambino, licensed relationship manager; Barbara Shepard, business relationship manager; Nicholas Heins, client service manager; John DiBiasi, lead teller; Cara Rettig, full-time teller; Heather Pierce, part-time teller; Shawn Manley, mortgage partner; Deb Genco, merchant partner, and Janine Clark, business banking partner.

Allpro Parking recently appointed Alan Kraemer vice president of Allpro Parking for Healthcare. Kraemer joined the company in August 2010 as vice president of business development. He graduated from Oneonta State College.

Carr Marketing Communications named Kelly Lignos Ziv public relations account manager. Ziv earned a master's degree from American University in Washington, D.C., and a bachelor's degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder.

Hodgson Russ named Daniel F. Dovi an associate in the law firm's intellectual property and technology group at its Buffalo office. During and after law school, he worked as a volunteer law clerk for the New York State Supreme Court and the U.S. District Court for the Western District of New York. A graduate of Ithaca College, Dovi earned his J.D. at the University at Buffalo School of Law.
