SARDINA, Nicholas J.

SARDINA - Nicholas J. Unexpectedly, February 25, 2012 of Clarence, NY at the age of 27 in Kansas. Beloved son of Kathleen (nee Coveny) (David B. Jr.) Forsyth and Joseph T. Sardina; dear brother of Samantha, David III and Ian Forsyth; loving grandson of John M. Sr. (late Dawn) Coveny, June (Jack) Kurczewski, the late Joseph Sardina and Jane (late David B.) Forsyth; also survived by aunts, uncles and cousins. Family will be present to receive relatives and friends on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the MELVIN J. SLIWINSKI FUNERAL HOME 5090 Transit Rd. (south of Como Park Blvd.) where funeral services will be held Friday at 9:15 AM and from Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church at 10 AM. Nicholas enlisted in the United States Army in 2005. He was a calvary scout with Echo Troop 4th Cavalry 2nd Brigade Recon Troop 1st Infantry Division. Nicholas served in Operation Iraqi Freedom between 2006-2007. In 2008 he was honorably discharged and attended Kansas University until his death. Nicholas also served as a Corporal-Specialist with the Kansas National Guard. Nicholas will be remembered for his compassionate kind heart, contagious smile, and twinkling eyes. He will be sadly missed by all.
