MEDICINAL GARDEN: The D'Youville College School of Pharmacy is co-sponsoring another Medicinal Garden event from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at the Buffalo & Erie County Botanical Gardens, 2655 South Park Ave. There will be four educational displays on poison prevention and nutrition presented by D'Youville faculty and students, and the Western New York Poison Center. Mercy Hospital is a co-sponsor of the event.
SNOWMAN CHALLENGE: BlueCross BlueShield of Western New York is holding a snowman-making challenge from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday at the Jewish Community Center, 2640 North Forest Road, Getzville.
LECTURE SERIES: Thomas Yots, a historian with Preservation Studios, will give a lecture at 12:15 p.m. Tuesday in the Central Library's Ring of Knowledge, main floor near Fables Cafe, 1 Lafayette Square. It is part of a series entitled "Imagine Buffalo Niagara as a Bi-National Cultural Center: Why Does History and/or Nature Matter?" The free event is sponsored by the Center for the Study of Art, Architecture, History and Nature.
