WEIGH IN -- All the mystery items weigh a pound at St. Bernard's annual Pound Auction Saturday evening in the Parish Hall, 1988 Clinton St. Doors open at 5. Bidding starts at 6. Admission is $3 and includes cake and coffee.
The Shriners of Western New York hold their spring meat raffle at 7 p.m. Saturday in the Shrine Center, 1600 Southwestern Blvd., West Seneca. Admission is $2 and includes beer, pop and sandwiches.
BOOKS AND MORE -- The North Tonawanda History Museum, 54 Webster St., will hold its Winter Used Book Sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Paperback books are 50 cents, or three for $1. Hardcover books are $1 each, or three for $2. A bag of books is $5.
At 2 p.m., the museum also presents an hourlong video, "Whispers of Angels: A Story of the Underground Railroad," a documentary about the fight to end slavery, featuring Ed Asner and Blair Underwood.
