Squeaky Wheel recently received an award of $13,000 from the Cameron and Jane Baird Foundation in support of its techARTS for Girls computer literacy program for girls ages 9-14. The program, which was founded in 1998, is designed to encourage interest and confidence in technology through the arts.
Squeaky Wheel offers workshops where participants learn how to use a variety of graphic design, sound editing and animation software to create digital artworks.
