Daniel J. Pacholski Sr., of Cheektowaga, a retired cabinetmaker, died Thursday in Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital, Amherst. He was 86.
Born in Buffalo, he served in the Pacific aboard the USS Conklin as a gunner's mate in the Navy during World War II. Mr. Pacholski worked for Millwork Services in Lancaster for about 20 years. He retired in 1985.
He was a life member of Pvt. Leonard Post Jr. Post 6251, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and a member of the Adam Plewacki Post 799 Federal Credit Union. He was a 66-year member of the carpenters union and did architectural woodworking. He was a member of Cheektowaga Seniors and the Cheektowaga Travel Club.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, the former Theresa Priebe; a son, Daniel J. Jr.; and two daughters, Mary Accurso and Linda Fosdick.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Our Lady of Help of Christians Catholic Church, 4125 Union Road, Cheektowaga.
