The 14 SEC head football coaches recently got together to pose for their annual group photo. The Big East considered that idea, but it was never sure what teams should be represented at a given moment.

The scoreboard at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' Raymond James Stadium caught on fire Saturday morning, believed to have been caused by electrical problems. We can't blame the team -- they didn't burn out many circuits with their offense last season.

A dogsled race in the Yukon is being hampered by wolves stealing the trail markers. For the record, this is rarely a problem at the Buffalo Marathon.

A five-member all-female rowing crew broke a new record by crossing the Atlantic Ocean in 45 days; rowers said the secret of their success was rowing while naked. Well, that and bringing lots and lots of sunblock.
