EGW Personnel Staffing corporate human resources manager/safety specialist Kathleen Pascucci achieved the Professional in Human Resources certification through the Human Resource Certification Institute. HRCI is the international licensing body for the human resource profession.

Torn Space Theater elected Kathleen Rooney and Sarah Bay-Cheng to its board of directors. Located in Buffalo, the company presents original as well as contemporary works. Rooney is the owner of Kathleen Rooney Communications. Bay-Cheng is associate professor and director of graduate studies in theater at the University at Buffalo.

Compass House, a not-for-profit agency offering safe shelter and services for runaway and homeless youth in Western New York, named Jeremy Besch to its board of directors. Besch is head of Upper School at the Park School of Buffalo. The Park School, founded in 1912, is a college preparatory, co-educational, independent school in Amherst, for students from pre-K through grade 12.

United Memorial Medical Center will continue to provide a Phase II Cardiac Rehabilitation program and will eventually add the service to its newest physician practice, United Memorial Cardiology and Internal Medicine located at 229 Summit St., Batavia. Planned renovations to the practice will be altered to accommodate Phase II Cardiac Rehab. Acquiring the cardiology and internal medicine practice of Dr. Keun Oh and Dr. Mohammad Rathor following Dr. Oh's retirement in December 2011 allows the hospital to continue to provide the medically monitored Phase II program on a smaller, more flexible scale than what was previously available.

The new site, with 3,000 products available for purchase online, is now an easier-to-use tool for professional and hobby chocolate makers ordering equipment such as molds, tools, trays and packaging. Founded in 1962, Tomric Systems, located in Buffalo, designs and manufactures high-quality, thermoformed plastic candy molds, packaging and insert trays.

Merchants Insurance Group introduced a new online claims reporting service as the latest way is assisting policyholders with their claims. With online claims reporting, a Merchants policyholder will simply need to visit the company's homepage, www.merchantsgroup.com, and follow the instructions under the "Claims" tab to report a claim. A claims representative will then contact the claimant to continue the claim process.
