> Shine on
Ready for a new lipstick color? How about hot pink?
"The color really brightens up your face. And it's less expected than red for winter," makeup artist Mai Quynh tells InStyle magazine.
Amber Heard, Michelle Williams, Lea Michele, Jennifer Hudson, Charlize Theron and Emily Blunt are just a few women who have been photographed recently wearing variations of the brighter shade.
> Organizing tip
Many people have an old frame or two in the basement -- some quite decorative. If you have one that is particularly good-looking but not in use, repurpose it as a vanity tray for the top of a dresser, suggests Real Simple magazine.
As a finishing touch, place a piece of colored paper or fabric inside -- under the glass.
> Warm as toast
Mornings can be chilly, especially stepping out of the shower. One solution suggested by the Washington Post: The Brookstone Towel Warmer, which warms your towel or robe in 10 minutes. You can also use it to warm you blanket, mittens, hats or gloves.
"This product evokes a lot of emotion from our customers. Just read the reviews on the website. I warmed up my wife's bathrobe this morning; it feels like you just pulled out a towel from the dryer," David M. Figler, a Brookstone merchandise manager, told the Post.
It's priced $79.95 at Brookstone, Walden Galleria, or brookstone.com.
> And finally
Perfume has been a weapon for women since antiquity! It's a super-important accessory.
