Dolores A. Maraschiello, an active community volunteer, died Wednesday in her Buffalo home.
The former Dolores Breil was a lifelong resident of Buffalo and a graduate of Kensington High School. She had been the winner of the Miss Fire Prevention pageant in 1947.
After graduation she worked as a secretary and teletypist.
Mrs. Maraschiello was a volunteer in her community, helping the Kensington Baseball League, the Boy Scouts of America and the school library. She was a member of the St. Aloysius Parish Altar and Rosary Society, and the Kennelworth Homemakers Club.
Her husband, Victor John, died in 1994.
Mrs. Maraschiello is survived by three daughters, Diane Ross, Donna Baran and Susan Worst; three sons, Michael, Christopher and Thomas; a brother, Richard Briel; and three sisters, Betty Mahoney, Joan O'Brien and Mary Vogel.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in St. Aloysius Gonzaga Church, 157 Cleveland Drive, Cheektowaga.
