Buffalo Hospital Supply named RyanM. Burke chief executive officer. Burke, who has been with the company since 1999, previously served as its executive vice president. The 34-year-old firm, founded by Ryan's father, Michael Burke in 1977, is at 4039 Genesee St. in Buffalo.

Lougen, Valenti, Bookbinder & Weintraub, a CPA firm, named Keith R. Bookbinder managing partner. Bookbinder, one of the originating partners of the firm, is a graduate of the University at Albany. He was associated with the national accounting firm BDO Seidman for 20 years.

Southeast Works appointed Pamela J. Hayes chief executive officer. Hayes has been chief executive officer at Valley Light Industries in California. A graduate of California State University, Hayes earned her master's degree and Ph. D. from Cambridge State University. Southeast Works is a Depew-based not-for-profit agency that works with adults with developmental disabilities.

Hodgson Russ named Britta L. McKenna and KevinR. Talbot partners. McKenna concentrates her practice on estate and trust planning and administration with a focus on

U. S./Canada cross-border tax and estate planning. A Boston College graduate, McKenna received her J. D. from the University at Buffalo School of Law. Talbot focuses his practice in mergers and acquisitions, corporate law, commercial transactions. He is a Canisius College graduate and earned his J. D. at University of Notre Dame Law School.

The Defense Trial Lawyers of Western New York presented the Robert M. Kiebala Memorial Award and recognition as the 2011 Defense Trial Lawyer of Year to William E. Nitterauer. Nitterauer recently retired as claims center general counsel from Travelers Insurance. Also, Nicole Palmerton was named president of the board of directors. Other officers: vice president/president-elect, John DePaolo; treasurer, Thomas Kawalec; and secretary, Joel Java. Board members: John Condren, Jody Briandi and Dennis Glascott.

Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center appointed Dr. Jennifer Adamson to its medical staff. Dr. Adamson is a graduate of Colgate University and the University at Buffalo School of Medicine. She served her family practice residency at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital.

AAA Western and Central New York promoted Joseph McLaughlin to vice president, information technology. McLaughlin joined the agency in 2010 as consulting director of organizational improvement. He is a graduate of the University of Delaware and holds a master's degree from Drexel University.

WILLCARE named Dawn Rosine administrator for its Buffalo and Niagara Falls licensed home care branches in addition to her current duties as administrator for the company's Jamestown and Olean branches. Rosine, a registered nurse, joined the company in 1995 as the director of nursing for the Jamestown branch.

Buffalo State College appointed Edgar "Ted" Turkle vice president for research administration and economic development. Turkle, who came to Buffalo State in 1997, will also oversee the Research Foundation of SUNY at Buffalo State. He is a graduate of Mount Union College.

The Buffalo Chapter of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors named Ronald A. Hoffman president for the 2011-2012 term. Hoffman has been a New York Life agent since 1974.

YMCA Buffalo Niagara appointed Nick Bond executive director for the Delaware Family YMCA. Bond most recently was senior program director at the agency's Southtowns branch.
