Terry D. Loretto, a partner in the law firm of Magavern and Loretto in Hamburg, died unexpectedly at his Hamburg home Monday. He was 50.
A native of Silver Creek, Loretto graduated from Frontier Central School. He received his bachelor's degree from the Oswego State College in 1983 and later his Juris Doctor, summa cum laude, from the University at Buffalo Law School.
After college, he worked as an instrument and controls technician at Niagara Mohawk in Oswego.
Before joining his current law firm, he also worked at Shaw and Shaw in Hamburg.
He was a member of the American and New York State Bar Associations and the Knights of Columbus. He was a boating enthusiast and a basketball coach for the Little Cagers. He also was a member of the St. Stanislaus Athletic Club.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, the former Vicky Hall; a son, Andrew; two daughters, Hayley and Madison; his parents, Anthony C. and Cora J.; a brother, Anthony, Jr.; and a sister, Kimberly.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. James United Church of Christ, 76 Main St., Hamburg.
