Auto Bureau changing hours at mall satellite office

The Eastern Hills Mall satellite office of the Erie County Auto Bureau will open an hour earlier and close an hour earlier, beginning Jan. 3, County Clerk Chris Jacobs announced Thursday.

The new hours will be 9 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. The office is located in the back of the mall at 4545 Transit Road, Clarence, near the entrance to the cinema. More information can be found at www.erie.gov/clerk.

"We have customers lining up well before the current 10 a.m. opening time," Jacobs said. "For those needing transactions later than 4:45 p.m., our Cheektowaga Auto Bureau has extended hours on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, as well as being the only auto bureau in New York State with Saturday hours."
