The Sacramento Kings have two full-time employees dedicated to fulfilling orders for Jimmer Fredette jerseys. The kid hasn't played a game yet, but he's already in the NBA Store Hall of Fame.
4. BILLS COME DUE
The Red Sox were one of two baseball teams hit by a payroll luxury tax for 2011, coughing up $3.4 million. They certainly got their money's worth until Sept. 1.
5. BREAK OUT THE GERITOL
Betty White will be doing the Christmas-themed opening for this week's Monday Night Football game between the Saints and Falcons. The network expects its highest rating ever among octogenarians.
