Clendening makes Team USA

Niagara Falls' Adam Clendening, a Chicago Blackhawks draft pick, will represent the United States in the International Ice Hockey Federation event.

Clendening, a sophomore defenseman for Boston University, will suit up for his first game on Monday when the U.S. plays Denmark in Edmonton.

While Clendening didn't get to participate in the event last year when it was in Buffalo, he did help the U.S. win back-to-back gold medals in the Under-18 world championships in 2009-10.
