Nearly 700 people attended the Education Summit presented Friday by the Community Action Organization of Erie County in Adam's Mark Hotel. A significantly lower estimated attendance was reported in Saturday's story.


Residents of the Grand Island School District on Tuesday approved two propositions that will result in a $51 million-plus upgrade to all five of the school district's buildings. One part of the package is a $4.6 million project to build a "state-of-the-art" athletic field and to renovate the high school auditorium. The overall cost of the work and the cost and description of the athletic field and auditorium component were incorrect in Wednesday's News.
