Andrew S. McGennis, president of ASM Machines, died Thursday at his home in Buffalo after a long battle with cancer. He was 67.
Born in Buffalo, he graduated from Lafayette High School. He attended East Tennessee State University in Johnson City and the University of Georgia in Athens.
Mr. McGennis was president of ASM Machines. Prior to that, he was also president of Buffalo Viking Machine Tool Corp. and a past president of Wetterald Equipment Co.
He was a former director and honorary member of Cherry Hill Club. He also was a former member of both the Buffalo Club and the Country Club of Buffalo.
He is survived by a son, Berkley, and a brother, Peter W.
A private graveside service is planned, as well as a memorial service next summer.
