Local designers will show one-of-a-kind creations at a fashion show at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at Ooo la la Boutique, 663 Main St., East Aurora.
Shana Feeley of Thomas Lee Designs, Steven Bales of Bales Clothing and five other designers will show looks ranging from graphic tees to eveningwear, says boutique owner Crista Botticello.
Admission is free. Cupcakes from Swirls Cupcakery will be served.
> Out of the house
Alex McCord is coming to town. The former star of Bravo TV reality series "The Real Housewives of New York City" will meet fans at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Clothes Bar, 4401 Transit Road at Main Street, Clarence.
McCord recently ventured into the bath and bedding textile business with a new company, Aluxe Home. She and her husband, Simon van Kempen, also wrote the book "Little Kids Big City," about raising two young children in New York City.
Saturday, she will be selling "Thug in a Cocktail Dress" (a quip from the show) T-shirts to benefit charitable organizations.

> Crafts galore
Get a head start on holiday shopping at Christmas in the Country, the annual crafts extravaganza, Thursday through Sunday at the Hamburg Fairgrounds.
More than 400 artisans from around the country and beyond will be selling handmade jewelry, pottery, sculptures, wood furniture, candles, tapestry handbags, traditional American sleighs and, of course, Christmas ornaments.
Tickets are $6 presale through Thursday (see xmasinthecountry.com for locations) or $8 at the door. Children 12 and younger are free. Hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday; 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
