Keb' Mo' comes across as a one-man celebration of the history of American roots music. His blues run deep, are rooted firmly in the soil of the Mississippi Delta, and are ever redolent of the haunted howl at the heart of Robert Johnson's most affecting performances.
Keb' Mo' is widely respected, by both fans and peers alike, as one of the greatest living proponents of acoustic Delta blues, but at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, the guitarist/singer-songwriter will be fronting his full touring band inside the Mainstage Theater at the University at Buffalo's Center for the Arts. With a new studio album, "The Reflection," still fresh in his mind, expect to hear some electrified takes on Keb' classics, as well as pieces culled from his fine new album.
Tickets are $27, $37 and $42 (box office, Ticketmaster.com). Visit www.ubcfa.org.
