Wilder & Linneball founding partner J. Joseph Wilder was named program chairman for a seminar on trials sponsored by the New York State Bar Association in November. The panel of speakers includes Hon. Erin M. Peradotto, Hon. Gerald J. Whalen, Terrence M. Connors, John V. Elmore, Kevin J. English, Carol E. Heckman, and Laura A. Linneball.

Paragon Advertising, a Buffalo-based integrated marketing communications agency, named Justin Mejak an Internet developer and programmer. Mejak has extensive experience in Internet design and development. He is a Buffalo State College graduate.

Just Buffalo Literary Center promoted Michael Kelleher to associate and artistic director. Kelleher has been with the center since 1997 serving as curator of readings to 2002. He also participated in the Writers Corps, art education through creative writing in the Buffalo Public Schools. He most recently served as artistic director since 2002.

The Soccer Post, a national franchise with more than 25 locations across the country, will soon open in the Creekview Plaza, 5651 Main St., Store A in Williamsville. The expansion into the Buffalo market is due to the explosion of youth soccer in the area and the need in the market for a soccer specialty store.

Greenman-Pedersen, an engineering, surveying, planning and construction inspection firm with offices throughout the Eastern United States, is celebrating its 45th anniversary. Also, the Buffalo branch announced the firm is now ranked No. 72 of the Top 500 Design Firms in the nation by Engineering News Record for 2011. GPI employs more than 1,000 at its 20 offices.

Phillips Lytle, a Buffalo-based law firm, was awarded a 2011 New Media Award recognizing its seven-month-old website, www.phillipslytle.com, featuring innovative, user-friendly search tools. The law firm was honored in the "Standard of Excellence" Division of the awards by the New York City based-New Media Institute.
