Saint-Gobain Corp., the holding company for all of Saint-Gobain's North American operations, and CertainTeed Corp., the North American subsidiary of Saint-Gobain, appointed John Crowe president and chief executive officer. Crowe has served in a wide range of leadership positions within the company, including president of Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics and Saint-Gobain Crystals for 30 years. He most recently served as president of the company's global abrasives business. Saint-Gobain ADFORS on Grand Island manufactures reinforcement fabrics.

The Buffalo National Association of Purchasing Management, an affiliate of the Institute for Supply Management, appointed Lori Brodsky, of People Inc., president for the 2011-12 program year. The Mansion on Delaware Avenue recently celebrated its 10th anniversary with an online Facebook contest called "Tell Us Your Story," in which hundreds of guests posted comments. The Mansion, at 414 Delaware in Buffalo, is a boutique hotel in a building that housed the former Victor Hugo's Restaurant. Built as a private home in the 1860s, it was named one of the Top 5 hotels in the 2007 Zagat survey.

WILLCARE, a Buffalo-based home health care company, recently purchased the assets of Allstate Home Care after the company ceased operations at its two branch offices in Niagara Falls and Williamsville. Most of Allstate's 74 nurses and aides have joined the company, and the majority of patients chose to move to WILLCARE as well.

The Aurora Optometric Group moved to its new facility at 980 W. Maple Court in Elma. The new location includes extensive parking, easier access to the building and a vision therapy clinic to better serve patients.
