HOG HEAVEN -- Bikers will ride out Labor Day weekend with a big holiday gathering at Hogarosa Motorcycle Campgrounds on Summit Lane three miles outside Springville. The schedule for the Hog Farm's four-day Hog Holiday includes a variety of awards and competitions, including a tattoo contest Saturday, a motorcycle rodeo Saturday and Sunday, and contests to determine the Best Chopper and a Ms. Hog Holiday.

Hot Daddy Rocks kicks off a succession of live bands at 8 p.m. Friday, followed by the

Boneshakers at 6 p.m. Saturday, Wanted by the FBI at 10:30 p.m. Saturday, the Steven L. Smith Band at 6 p.m. Sunday and Mamakin with a tribute to Aerosmith at 10:30 p.m. Sunday.

The weekend also comes with an impressive list of rules. No electric heaters or air conditioners. No racing on mini-bikes or four-wheelers. No dogs, firearms, fireworks or attitudes. Also, anyone under 21 must be with a parent and, according to the flier, kids must be at their campsites by dusk "or you're out of here!"

FEET FIRST -- Got some shoes you don't use? Chelsea Richner wants them. Thursday, she's holding a shoe drive to benefit Soles4Souls, a charity that has passed along more than 15 million pairs of shoes to people in extreme poverty or recovering from natural disasters. Gently worn shoes can be dropped off at 288 Enez Drive, Depew, a block north of George Urban Boulevard between Patrick Lane and Sable Palm Drive. STEPPING LIVELY -- The first WNY USA Dance of the 2011-2012 season will be held Friday evening in First Presbyterian Church, 2085 Union Road, West Seneca.
