Linda K. Schultz of Alden, a former patient care representative with Catholic Health System, died Monday in Hospice Buffalo, Cheektowaga, after a long battle with ovarian cancer. She was 58.
Born Linda Marinaccio in Buffalo, she was a 1971 graduate of Kenmore East High School. She earned a bachelor's degree in English from Buffalo State College in 1976.
Mrs. Schultz previously had worked for Marketing Specialists, a food brokerage firm, and she was a receptionist for her father, Dr. John Marinaccio. She worked as a patient care representative with Catholic Health for nine years before her retirement in 2009 due to illness.
Under the name of Linda DuVall, she was a published author of Cross-Stitch books, which she distributed herself. She traveled to Italy, Israel and England.
She is survived by her husband of seven years, Paul; a daughter, Katherine DiGiacomo; a son, Daniel DuVall; her mother, Corinne Marinaccio; a sister, Paula Pisarski; and a brother, Gerald Marinaccio.
A service will be at 10 a.m. Friday in St. John's Lutheran Church, 55 Pleasant Ave., Lancaster.
