Former Bills receiving star Andre Reed will sign autographs to benefit Kids Escaping Drugs on Saturday (1:30-3 p.m. and 6-7:30 p.m.) and Sunday (1-3 p.m.) at the National Buffalo Wing Festival at Coca-Cola Field. Those who purchase his Over the Middle All-Purpose Sauce will receive a bottle signed and one other signature. A portion of the proceeds benefit Kids Escaping Drugs.
The 16th annual Kids Escaping Drugs Gala and Golf Tournament presented by Russell's Steaks, Chops & More at the Brookfield Country Club in July raised more than $140,000 for the cause. Since it's inception in 1990, the annual event has raised more than $1 million for Renaissance Campus, Western New York's only residential treatment facility for teens suffering with drug and alcohol addiction.

The Marie Jackson Women's Scramble golf tournament will be held Sept. 24 at Cazenovia Park Golf Course. The tournament will be nine holes, shotgun format. Cost is $45, which includes golf, a light lunch, refreshments and prizes. The post-tournament party will be held at Doc Sullivan's. Tourney proceeds will provide four scholarships for South Buffalo eighth-graders to assist them in Catholic high school tuition. In the last five years more than $16,000 in scholarships have been awarded.
The tournament is held in the memory of Marie Jackson, an avid golfer and sports spectator. She played five days a week at Cazenovia and South Park before her death in 2006.

BASEBALL: Tryouts for a new 12U travel team, the WNY Express, will be held at 6 p.m. today and Thursday on the Hidden Diamond at Cazenovia Park. The team coached by Jerome Phillips plans to travel to Dreams Park in Cooperstown to compete in their national tournament and play at Disney's Wide World of Sports in Orlando, Fla.
