The Oakland Raiders chose Ohio State quarterback Terrelle Pryor in the third round of the NFL supplemental draft. Don't know about the Raiders' playoff hopes, but economists say it's certainly a shot in the arm for Oakland tattoo parlors.

Pastrana-Waltrip Racing crew chief Jerry Baxter apologized for pulling rival driver Steve Wallace's hair when tempers flared during a Nationwide Series race. On the bright side, NASCAR inspectors didn't find any foreign objects in his engine.
