Nancy A. Stiglmeier, an accounting professional living in Williamsville, died at home Thursday following a 12-year fight with breast cancer. She was 51.
Born in Buffalo, she was a 1977 graduate of Sweet Home High School. She later attended Niagara County Community College before getting her degree from D'Youville College in Buffalo.
For 27 years, Mrs. Stiglmeier was an accountant for Sodexo Inc., an international food management company with offices in Buffalo. After being diagnosed with breast cancer in 1999, she traveled around the region speaking to schools about the risks of cancer and the importance of fighting it.
She is survived by her husband of 27 years, John; a son, Joseph; a daughter, Alison; her parents, Charles and Marilyn Elardo; and a brother, Charles Elardo.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. Saturday in Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 8500 Main St., Clarence.
