OLAF FUB SEZ: A favorite line from Scottish novelist Sir Walter Scott, born on this date in 1771, "O, what a tangled web we weave when first we practise to deceive!"

A Perfect Summer, For Some

In the throes of

All bundled up

I dream of days

So sunny

I have to

Shade my eyes.

I stare thru

Icy windows,

A prisoner trapped

I dream of

Lakeside camping,

Swimming and

The calendar says

But nothing's changed

For me.

I'm still indoors

Behind closed doors.

It's 93 degrees!
