Bisons rained out on Sunday

UPDATE: The Bisons game scheduled for 1:05 p.m. on Sunday has been postponed to be played as game one of a doubleheader on Monday. That game will start at 5:30 p.m. The teams will play two seven-inning games.

UPDATE: It looks like they're going to wait out the rain, but first pitch will certainly be delayed. The tarp is still down over the infield. There's rain in the forecast for some time from now, so we will have to see how long they wait. Durham is in a close fight with Gwinnett for the lead in the International League South, so they'll do everything they can to get this game in.

A little bit of water won't stop the Buffalo Bisons and Durham Bulls from trying to get the game in this afternoon. First pitch is scheduled for 1:05 p.m., with Mark Cohoon (3-7, 6.49) taking the mound for the Herd against Durham's  Andy Sonnanstine (2-3, 4.17).

Last night, the Bisons erased a three-run deficit in the eighth, starting with a Zach Lutz solo home run and ending with a two-out, bases-clearing, three-run double off the bat of pinch hitter Bubba Bell. You can read about it here. It was the third straight come-from-behind victory for the Bisons, who pulled out one-run wins on Thursday and Friday as well.

Word in the press box is they're going to try to play today, despite the gloomy forecast. Bisons lineup as follows:

Jordany Valdespin (SS)
Josh Satin (2B)
Zach Lutz (3B)
Valentino Pascucci (1B)
Fernando Martinez (DH)
Jesus Feliciano (LF)
Mike Nickeas (C)
Bubba Bell (RF)
Fernando Perez (CF)
Mark Cohoon (P)
