PETERS - David C. (Two Arrows)
A member of the Hawk Clan, age 49, of the Tonawanda Indian Reservation Basom, died August 10, 2011 unexpectedly. Born in Chicago, IL on March 22, 1962, he was a son of the late Ellison Peters and Joan (Sillaway) Peters. David attended Akron Central School where he excelled at football and graduated in 1981. He worked for himself for many years before he opened his own business Arrowhawk Smoke Shop on Bloomingdale Rd. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and loved spending time with family and friends. Sponsored many charities/fundraisers such as Alabama Fire Company, Plant for Hope, Akron Alumni Association, Batavia Ramparts Hockey Team, Tyler Gabbey Golf Tournement, Arrowhawk Golf Outing for Diabetes and many others. Surviving him besides his mother are two daughters Coreen Thompson of Basom and Kristen Peters of Tennessee; three
sisters, Jill Peters of Basom, Janet Brockway of Akron and Lori Peters of Basom; a brother Thomas Peters of Basom; two grandchildren Piper and Langston Keyes; nieces and nephews Justin (Melanie) Bidell, Janelle Peters, Lauren Peters, Brandi Reuben, Jonathan Donelly, Maisa Peters and Maia Peters. Visitation will be Saturday in the Childs Funeral Home, 10 Eckerson Ave., 10 AM to 2 PM and 4 to 8 PM. Funeral Services will be Sunday at 1 PM in the Tonawanda Indian Baptist Church, Bloomingdale Rd., Basom with the Rev. Robert Dean Officiating. Burial will be in the Peters Family Cemetery.
