Sheri Michael, 35, of Mill Street, Stockton, was not arrested Tuesday nor was she charged with welfare fraud.
Based on erroneous information provided by the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office, The Buffalo News incorrectly reported Aug. 11 that she was arrested and charged.
"There was no fraud by her," said Betsy Steger, an attorney for the Chautauqua County Department of Social Services.
